On behalf of the European Association of Urology (EAU), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO) we are pleased to invite you as media representative to attend the 2nd European Multidisciplinary Meeting on Urological Cancers (EMUC), to be held from 27-29 November 2009 in Barcelona, Spain. The 1st EMUC Meeting has demonstrated that interaction among major and independent European organisations is a first step towards embracing excellence in urological cancers. It goes without saying that this meeting is again of great importance to the field of urology and European medicine in general.
With the objective to facilitate multidisciplinary approaches that aim to optimise diagnostic, therapeutic and preventional interventions directed towards malignant disorders in the urogenital tract, the 2nd EMUC Meeting will feature presentations on the latest research from selected, theme-based translational and clinical abstracts, as well as related scientific and educational sessions.
The future of urological cancers on an international level is associated with advances in research from the bench side to the clinic. Advances in molecular biology have brought translational research to the forefront of interest for clinicians and basic scientists. The 2nd EMUC Meeting offers an opportunity for clinically relevant, in-depth discussions of emerging research results and clinical data that will impact treatment now and in the near future. While our first meeting focused on prostate and kidney cancer, we have prepared for the 2nd EMUC Meeting a scientific programme that will also present and highlight current work and approaches in bladder cancer.
A comprehensive scientific programme will be presented including state-of-the-art lectures, several dedicated debates on hot topics, round table discussions etc.
By bringing together world experts in the field of Urological Oncology, this European meeting aims to optimise our knowledge and improve our approach to a broad spectrum of topics including biology, prevention, diagnosis, therapy and quality of life.
We will be giving you the opportunity to interview leading experts in urology, oncology and radiology. Please click here to see the CV’s of EMUC Scientific Committee members.
We advise you to preregister now. Registration is free for media representatives. Please contact us should you have any further questions or need more specific information.
